You must be a Global Admin or Building Admin to use this feature.
🧠 What is Bulk Upload?
Bulk Upload lets you:
Create or update resources (e.g. desks, rooms, pods, lockers)
Configure neighborhood settings (priority access, team schedules)
Assign users to resources and auto-book them in advance

⚙️ How Bulk Upload Works
🧭 Step 1: Navigate to Bulk Upload
Go to Buildings
Click Edit Building
Select Bulk Upload
You'll see 3 sections:
Resources — Create/edit resources and neighborhoods
Neighborhoods — Configure rules and access for teams
Assignments — Assign specific users to resources per day
📄 Step 2: Download a Template
Choose from:
📥 Existing Template – Pre-filled with your current setup (great for updates)
📥 Blank Template – A fresh start (ideal for new customers/buildings; only available for Resources)
Existing templates are sent to your email after download.
✍️ Step 3: Fill Out the Template
Use our Template Guide to understand each column and what’s required.
✅ Be consistent with IDs and naming to avoid validation errors
📌 Check the example tab in each CSV for guidance
🚀 Uploading Your File
🗂️ Step 4: Upload Your CSV
Drag and drop the file or click to browse
Your upload will begin auto-validating
🧠 Step 5: Review Validation Results
Kadence automatically checks your file and highlights:
❌ Errors — Must be fixed or row will be skipped entirely (e.g. missing required fields)
⚠️ Warnings — Optional issues (e.g. name changes)
For each issue, you’ll see:
Row and column number
Description of the issue
Option to download the error list as a CSV
You can:
Upload a corrected file
Proceed while ignoring warnings
✅ Progress is saved in the background — you can leave and return anytime.
🛠️ Step 6: Process the Upload
Once validated:
Changes are applied in real-time
A progress bar shows how many rows are complete
You’ll receive an email when processing finishes
Any failures will be listed with a downloadable error report.
🎉 Step 7: Done!
After upload, you’ll see:
✅ Number of successful updates
❌ Any failed rows with reasons
📥 Option to download the failure list and fix/re-upload
